We are adding extra rooms to our hotel. The building is fully in process and there are two extra wings added. One wing is for six superior rooms and the other wing is for ten twin rooms. Our hotel is having a different theme in every wing of the hotel. We came up with ideas for the wings and we can use your help!
The superior wing will be dedicated to the successful breeding at Eldhestar. The rooms will be named after the first-class mares that are bred at Vellir (the location of Eldhestar). We will decorate the wing with pictures of the mares and other offsprings.
The wing with twin rooms was up for discussion for a while, until the idea of history came up. Eldhestar was founded in 1986 and over the years we have been lucky to entertain our guests with many different riding tours. We would like to hang pictures and stories from guests who visited us over the years since 1986.
That is where all of you come in. We are asking you for help. We want to hang pictures and stories of any riding tour from back in the day in the corridor and rooms. If you have any pictures that you would like to share, please email them to [email protected] It would very helpful if you can add the year and the name of tour to the picture.
Our multiple daytours for the summer have been selling fast these last weeks.
For June we still have availability for some multiple tours.
One of these tours is the Kjölur. On the tour you will ride the beautiful Kjölur route in 6 days accompanied by a loose herd.
The 17th and 26th of June there are spots available for the Kjölur.
