Summer is going really well here at Eldhestar. We are happy to tell you that a few new foals have arrived. The mares and their foals are doing great and are enjoying their time in the large pastures, running, playing, and relaxing. We have taken some photos of the foals and wanted to share them with you. See below – aren’t they adorable?
Life at the farm is very busy this time of year. The horses and guides are out on tours and our hotel and guesthouse are full of friendly guests. It is wonderful to see so many happy faces after guests come back from one of our riding tours or after a peaceful stay at our hotel.
If you are an experienced rider and would like to join one of our longer riding adventures, we still have a few places available on some of our wilderness tours this summer:
- Tour 14 – Snæfellsnes Peninsula: Starts on August 2
- Tour 19 – Sprengisandur: Starts on July 9 and again on July 18
- Tour 20 – Kjölur: Starts on August 5
These are amazing tours through the highlands and other beautiful parts of Iceland.
Do not worry if you do not have much riding experience – we still have spots available on some of our shorter tours that are perfect for people with less riding experience. These tours are fun, safe, and a great way to enjoy Iceland’s nature on horseback.
