Wherever you are, we hope you are enjoying the early days of summer. While we got snow on May 9th, just a few days later temperatures went up to 25°C! The sun has made the farm much greener and full of life. The horses are enjoying the warm breeze and we are too!
Our summer riding tours are in full swing, and we are thrilled to see guests returning to experience Iceland’s stunning landscapes with us. From volcanic valleys to glacial rivers or hot springs. Our tours have so much to offer and we have some news to share with you.
Tour 19 – Sprengisandur: Spots are still available! This epic highland tour is a favorite for experienced riders wanting to explore remote, dramatic wilderness. Join Nonni, guide and co-owner of Eldhestar, on Sprengisandur this July (9th OR 18th). Due to changes ahead, this may be the last time we offer this tour. If you have dreamed of crossing Sprengisandur with a herd of horses and Nonni – this is your moment!
Tour 20 – Kjölur: A cancellation has opened up places for the departure starting August 5th. Do not miss this chance to join one of our most iconic long tours through the highlands!

Last weekend, we welcomed the first foal of the season! The foal and the mother, Jódís frá Völlum, are both healthy and doing well. It is always adorable to observe a newborn foal try to figure out what those four long legs are for and watch their wobbly steps and curious looks. We know that many of you will enjoy meeting our foals soon.
