We still owe you a hello from July – so here it is, just a little late! 😊 – Summer is going very well here at Eldhestar, and the season is so far a wonderful one. We have enjoyed several unusually warm days, much like the heatwave earlier in May, and some of our guests have returned from tours with a noticeable tan!Â
As you may have heard, there is currently a volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula. At the time of writing, the eruption is still ongoing, but it remains small, just like the previous ones. We are located at a very safe distance, and the eruption has not affected international flights, nor our operations. All our tours continue as planned, and those visiting us are completely safe.
We are also excited to share some news: departure dates for summer 2026 are now available! While we are still finalizing the prices, you are welcome to check the available dates and let us know which tour you are dreaming of. We will gladly place you on our waiting list in the meantime. As soon as the prices are confirmed, we will contact you to reconfirm your booking. And for those of you dreaming more of a winter getaway than a summer one, you are welcome to join one of our winter programs. For a mix of adventure, relaxation and sightseeing, check out Tour 8B – Nature’s Treasures & Rider’s Pleasures (4 nights) or Tour 8E – The Northern Lights Grand Tour (5 nights). These tours offer an unforgettable blend of horseback riding, visits to the local swimming pool, whale watching, and sightseeing around the Golden Circle. If you’re keen to improve your riding skills, the Tour 30 – Winter Riding Course (3 – 5 nights)  is a great option for learning more about the unique Icelandic horses while enjoying the stunning winter landscape.
