We are delighted to bring you greetings from Eldhestar! The high season is going incredibly well, and we have been receiving positive feedback from guests visiting our hotel and participating in our riding tours.
Our hotel has recently been extended by 16 new rooms, bringing the total number of rooms to 53. We would like to thank all of you who helped us by sending in pictures from the old days for decorating the new corridor and suggesting horse names for our new rooms. After careful consideration, we chose the names Blika, Huginn, Klettur, Stefnir, Suðri, Félagi, Kári, Salka, Stjarni and Þytur for the standard rooms. Additionally, the corridor with the superior rooms now carries the names of our first-class mares Hjör, Helma, Oðný, Nett, Vallarsól and Sónata.
If you haven’t had and won’t have a chance to visit us this summer, let us remind you that there is something magical about Iceland in the autumn and winter months. A very popular winter program is Tour 8E – Northern Ligths Grand Tour. While we can’t guarantee the appearance of the northern lights, we assure you of a wonderful time with our horses, knowledgeable guides, cozy atmosphere, and a comfortable stay at our hotel or guesthouse.
