Now we are getting closer to the end of the year and preparations for 2024 have been going on for several months. In this newsletter, we would like to inform you that Hotel Eldhestar is getting larger and the building process has been underway. Furthermore, the hotel succeeded in obtaining the Swan Eco-label certification. We should not forget to mention that Eldhestar horses are doing great and we are working on training our youngsters. We also happen to have some very interesting horses for sale. Most of our winter tours were fully booked this year and weather this winter has been very pleasant so far. – We can say that it is a real joy to be outside. But let’s not jinx it!

As mentioned above, we have decided to extend our hotel by 16 new rooms that will include 10 standard and 6 superior rooms. We are planning to open the new part of the hotel in June 2024. The building process is going according to the plan and is surely very interesting, but we at the hotel, cannot wait to name the rooms after some of the most memorable four-hoofed colleagues of ours although it is not going to be an easy task. Our horses
As always, the fall season is when most of our horses start a rest period. Many of the horses have now been on vacation for 2-3 months. They are having a good life in big pastures. Part of our work is to watch over them to see that they are doing well.
In the autumn, we started breaking in and training our breeding horses. Every horse is unique and our training is adjusted to the individual horse. This way our youngsters become secure riding horses. The development of the horses is interesting to follow. It already starts before the training as does our excitement and expectations. So far the training has been going well and some interesting horses are on the way.

Tours
We are looking forward to a good winter and a good year. People have started placing their reservations for 2024, and some of our tours are already fully booked. We often update the Availability List on our website and have added our brochure for 2024. We still offer the greatest variety of riding tours in Iceland.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our hotel, guesthouse and our riding tours.
