TOUR 2B - The Siggi Tour
On this tour, we offer the best riding routes available each time. Depending on weather and wind, we ride in the scenic surroundings of our farm, for example across the river Varmá and through a lava field area, ending on good riding paths in the meadows south of our farm.
My two daughters both have a horse and I have never seen the attraction..until now. What a great place Eldhestar is, the staff are so nice and the horses are the cutest thing you will see. There are around 380 at the farm so easy for the staff to match horse to ability. My first time on a horse in 20 years and these sturdy creatures are so sure footed on the tricky terrain and so fun to ride. Our group of mixed ability was escorted by two staff who made sure everyone was doing ok and we were soon Tolting along at an impressive rate. Honestly, this was the best thing we did in Iceland and a dip in the Blue Lagoon that evening might have helped the muscles…
The guides were exceptional and we were also treated to some interesting Icelandic history and stories on the trek around the large farm estate over some interesting terrain. Highly Recommended, I wish Salty the horse could have come home with us!
The hotel pickup service was brilliant too.

1,5 – 2 hours riding
Departure times
Daily at 09:00 and 14:00. Hotel pick-up in Reykjavík at 08:00 (- 08:30) and 13:00 (- 13:20). The pick up in Hafnarfjörður, Mosfellsbær, Kópavogur and Seltjarnanres starts at 7:45 for the tour in the morning.
Return to Reykjavík at around 13:00 and 17:15.

What to bring
Good shoes, comfortable pants (riding pants not necessary), gloves and a buff is recommended and if you want to bring a camera, please bring a small waist bag as backpacks cannot be taken on horseback. See more detailed information here.
