TOUR 2G - Icelandic Diversity
Get in touch with Iceland’s nature on horseback and taste the treasures of the nearby North Atlantic. We start with riding 1.5-2 hours in the vicinity of our farm. The tour takes you through a small river, a lava field and along wide meadows. On our way through the southern farmland, we enjoy a nice view of the volcanic mountains surrounding the Hengill volcano. After the riding tour, you enjoy Icelandic fishsoup made from local ingredients in our Hotel Eldhestar.
Excellent tour and I enjoyed myself. I was a little unsure of how I would go as it had been a couple of decades since I was last on a horse. They accommodated varying riding abilities very well and selected horses expertly. They provided outer layer clothing that kept us comfortable while riding in the elements. Our guide was informative, and encouraging. I experienced the tölt successfully with her guidance.

Departure times
Daily at 09:00. Hotel pick-up in Reykjavík at 08:00 (- 08:30). The pick up in Hafnarfjörður, Mosfellsbær, Kópavogur and Seltjarnanres starts at 7:45.
Return to Reykjavík at around 13:00.

What to bring
Good shoes, comfortable pants (riding pants not necessary), gloves and a buff is recommended and if you want to bring a camera, please bring a small waist bag as backpacks cannot be taken on horseback. See more detailed information here.
