Tour 31 – Breeding & Riding
Combine a riding vacation in Iceland with interesting visits of breeding farms! Many well-known breeding farms are located in Southwest Iceland, close to Eldhestar. Visitors are welcome to have a look at the horses, listen to lectures about breeding programs, get the chance to watch horses in training and perhaps even find their future horse. Sightseeing tours to the most spectacular sights in South Iceland can also be arranged. We organize tours for groups wishing to get an insight into Icelandic horse breeding, watch some of the best horses in competition and experience riding in Iceland on well-trained horses.
This is a great way to learn about the Icelandic horses. The breed has not changed in over 1000 years.
